OBITUARY.
MR. VV. C. S. LEVER. The flajf at the Auckland Club floated at half mart to-day out of respect to ilr. \V. O. S. Lever, one of the members. «hose death took place yesterday mornin.s at Devonpoct. Mr. Ijever had been in a critical condition, and an operation was performed yesterday. Deceased ; was born in Knglund fifty-eight yenrs ago, and was in the South Island foe some time, before he moved up to Wellington. About twerve years ago lie started the business of Lever and Co.. wine and spirit merchants. Fort Street. Mr. Lever was a member of the committee of, the Avondale Jockey Club. Ho is survived by his widow.
