FOR ATTCKI-ANU WEST SEAT. MR. BENNETT DECLINES OFFER. A request that Mr. C. P. Several members cmpliasUed tlie call of the present for men of integrity in public, positions, and assured Mr. Bennett of the wholfi-hearted support of the deputation. Mr. Bennett replied that for health reasons it was oolite impossible to accede to the deputation's request. At hie suggestion those present resolved themselves into a committee to consider the taking of further steps in the direction he had indicated.
