The engineer, Mr, W. J. Lopdell, reported that settlers on the Moumoukai Hill had agreed to proceed with the loan proposal of £1000. The Government had voted £500 on account of £1000, which, if obtainable, would carry out the original scheme. Building permits amounting to £6732 were issued during last month.
