(ieorge Cook, the Australian heavyweight champion, was disqualified in the sixth round of his fight against <loe Bocke.tt. the English heavy-weight champion. In the first round the Australian was repeatedly guilty of holding, and the referee stopped the fight and warned him. In the second round Cook twice landed a left to the face. Jn consequence of a right, to the point from Beckett, Cook had to close for safety. In the third j Beckett just escaped a left while both i men were on tiie ropes. Beckett landed a i left hook to thi» chin ajid Cook got a • right home. In this round he wae further warned for holding. At the commein.«inrnl. of the next round the referee warned both the competitors. BeckeVt landed a right and left and received a.n J Tlpperciit. Cook was again warned for holding. Beckett had Cook groggy in the sixth round. The Englishman landed four hard rights to the jaw.
