RUSSIAN BEAUTY SHOT.
BIGAMY CHARGE AGAINST COLONEL. LONDON, April 1. "In view of certain developments,'-' a charge against Lieut.:Colonel Herbert Allcard of bigamously marrying Madame Kotlarevsky, has been postponed. Last night Allcard breathlessly entered a police station and announced "My wife has shot herself." The police found Madame Wotlarevsky dead in a Russian boarding house in Chelsea. She was grasping a revolver, and had a wound in her head. The colonel, holder of the D.5.0.. has during recent months been employed with the Greco-Bulgarian Boundary Conunissiou. He married Miss Molyneu_ Carter, daughter of the late Colonel Molyneux, of Paulton Manor, near Bristol, in 1905. The dark Russian beauty, who wa.s 21 years of age, met him on the Continent eighteen months ago. They travelled together, and only arrived in London yesterday. Allcard got busy with his affairs in the afternoon. He returned home, dressed for dinner, and went to call Madame Kotlarevsky, and discovered the tragedy. He had been charged with marrying Madame Kotlarevsky in Paris at the end of 1921. _ _ _. ~
