PACIFIC GETTING CROWDED.
REGULAR ROUTES WANTED. WASHINGTON, April 10. The hydrographic office of the Navy Department is co-operating with the Japanese, Canadian, and British Governments in mapping out the two most favourable courses in the North Pacific. The heavy traffic on the present single route is increasing the possibilities of steamship collisions. The proposed changes chiefiv affect Canada, the United States, and Japan.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
