CITY SCHOOLS COMMITTEE.

The Auckland City Schools Committee met last evtminc at the INelson Street school. Mr. U. I'ardingtun presiding. The chairman, in remarking that this was tne last general meeting before the elections, thanked the members for their support (luring the year, and he said that it was only through'their support nnd regular atteuUance that they lian been able to achieve what they had done. He hoped that the interests of the teachers nnd children wouid rear. The annuiil meeting of householders will be held in St. .fames' Hall on Monday. April 24, at 7.80 p.m. The chairman wiU receive nominations of candidates until next Monday. To provide for <be purchase of additional stationery for schools Under the control of the committee a further sum of £15 10/ was voted to Nelson Street and £18 15/ to each of the Beresford Street and Napier Street schools.
