SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY
The anniversary services In connection with the Alexandra Street Methodist Sunday School were commented on Sunday Inst, when three sermons were preached by the Revn. .1. H. Laws. 8.A.. R. B. Oosnell. end A. K. Frost. The attendance at each service was excellent. The xinplng wan under the leadership of Mr. K. W. Gladding. Miss Mime, letc of Chrlstcnurch. officiated nt ■the orean. Quite a number of the old the services, some huvinj; come from Otahi'hii. Tukapmm. and other suburbs. The children tiang well, and gave great. Katlefnctlon. Recitations were given by Miss Mary Bell and Miss Marlon Crowther. Children's tea was held on Tuesday evening. After tea a competition for singing and reciting was held. :n»l prizes earned by scholnrH will ho announced on Sunday next. The collection nrd donations from friend* of the school amounted to £30 11/".
