MATRIC. EXAMINATIONS.
BEGIN NENT WEEK. The examination for Matriculation in the Auckland centre begins on Thursday, December 1, and ends on Monday, December 12. There are 794 candidates, including thirty for University Junior Scholarships. These will be divided for the examination as follows:—Auckland Boys' Grammar School, 233 candidates. Of these ISO will be examined at their own school, and the rest at St. Benedht'e Hall. Girls' Grammar School, Howe Street. SS candidates, to be examined at their own school. Girls' Grammar School, Epsom, 60 candidates, to be examined at their own school.' Scholarships candidates will be examined at University College. The remaining 383 candidates will be distributed bc° tweon St. Benedict's Hall. St. Sepulchre's Hall, and St. Andrew's Hall. The number of supervisors on duty will be about
The subjects for examination include English. Mathematics. Latin, Economics, and Civics. French, History, Geography' Physical, Natural and Home Science' Drawing. Greek, Music, and Maori.
