AN OLD MARRIAGE TIE.
DIVORCE AFTER 35 YEARS. Married in May, 1880, Abraham Henry Keesing, watchmaker, Auckland (Mr. J. F. W. Dickson), petitioned Mr. Justice Adams at the Supreme Court to-day for a divorce from Isabella Keesing (Mr. Hogben). The action was set down for trial by jury, but the respondent withdrew certain allegations in her answers and the issue was left for the decision of the Judge alone. Petitioner stated that the marriage took place in Australia and that for about 30 years the parties had lived in Auckland. There were cix children. In March, I!H7, owing to unhappy differ-; ences, a deed of separation was signed and since then he and his wife had lived apart, the respondent being paid 10/ per week maintenance. A decree nisi was granted, with £10 10/ costs to the respondent, the question of alimony to be decided later.
