RECURRENCE OF INFLUENZA.
CONFERENCE OF EXPERTS. ALL REPORTS FAVOURABLE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WBLrLIXGTOX, this day. In conformity with the wishes of the Minister of Health, a conference was held yesterday between representatives of various local bodies, the Health Department, Hospital Board, and British Medical Association, to discuss what pre-. cautions should be taken in the event of a recurrence of the influenza epidemic. The Health representative stated in regard to the Wellington Health District and Wellington City, figures for the twelve-week period ended August 29' that they eeemed to indicate a subsidence of the influenza wave. The British Medical Association representative reported according to advice baaed on the experience of the Association's members in Wellington, that there was no need to take any active measures at the present time, as the information supplied did not warrant that course. The meeting adjourned cine die.
