MR. McCULLOUGH RESIGNS. ifiv Telegraph. —Press Association.) CHRISTOHURCH, Tuesday. Mr. J. A. MefnHoiJP'n. who '•»« bpen the Labour member of the Arbitration Court for many years, has resigned that position. The present term of Mr. McCullough's appointment does not expire until 1023. Asked to state reasons for his resignation, Mr. McCullough said he was not ready yet to make a considered statement on the* matter. He is preparing a written statement for the Alliance of Labour Conference, which will be held in Wellington to-morrow. MR. M. J. REARDON APPOINTED. (By Telegraph. —Own Oorrcepandeirt.) WELLINGTON, this day. Mr. M. J. Reardon has been summoned to fill Mr. McCullough's place in the Arbitration Court. When the nominations were last made Mr. McCullough was chosen representaI tive of the workers and Mr. Reardon deputy representative. He is a wellknown Labour secretary in Wellington. He is secretary of the Wellington Freezing Employees' Union, and has conducted i many disputes on behalf of the Freezers' I Federation and other unions before tee Court. In this way he has had a very large experience, which will prove useful in his new position.
