FRENCH TO REINFORCE. PABIS. July 20. Tt is understood that France will reinforce her troops in Upper Silesia regardless of whether the British and Italian forces are augmented.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.) Attacks upon Allied soldiers on July 17 in Upper Silesia have proved the timelines.-) of the French Note dispatched to Germany on Saturday, announcing the dispatch of French reinforcements to Upper Silesia. The report of alleged French and British rivalry is declared to be a very clumsy German attempt to split the Entente Cordialc. —(Reuter.) MEETING OF THE COUNCIL. (Received 10."0n.m.l PARTS, July 20. The "Petit Journal" states that the British reply to the French Note contests the necessity of sending reinforcements to Upper Silesia, and insists on an carlv meeting of the Supreme Council.— (A.'and N.Z.
