NEW THEATRE AT NEWMARKET
A project is on foot to build a new theatre in Newmarket on a site in Broadway almost right opposite the post office. The idea is to have a vestibule entrance in Broadway of about 40 feet, and the building would ran right througU to Osborne Street. A building something in the style of the Coliseum, the new Queen Street theatre, is proposed, with the theatre to seat 2000 on the ground floor, tea rooms and lounges on the first floor, and a twelve-table billiard room on the top floor. Messrs. Grierson and Aimer are to be the architects.
