OPERA HOUSE.

'Both vaudeville and- revue sections of tbe new programme at Fuller's Opera House were cordially welcomed toy a very large attendance wien the change was submitted last night, and the bill is one that -bids fair to go with a swing throughout the week. T.wo special favourites of the "gods," who come iback to scenes of former trlum'phs, were the joUy coon, John "Larkin, and Nellie Kolle, who lias a punch in both voice and personality that mates the top shelf join in her chorus songs willy nilly. Kennedy AUen and Nat Hanley, in comedy roles, were strongly supported by Walter Johnson in a joyful "piratical caricature, and Ernie Crawford as a skipper as no ship ever saw. Ernie Crawford's sea song, ami catchy songs 'by Anita Green. Daisy Talcs. and Alma Leigh were excellent numbers. while tbe dancing of Miss Yates and It's McKenzie, and the final "sea shells" scene of the panto, were notable features. OTAHCHTT FIRE BRIGADE CONCERT. Owing largely to the support glven"7\*7*fbe public, the concert and. dance held in tbe Otannhu Public Hall last Friday evening was an unqualified success. The audience, which filled the hall to capacity, heartily applauded the artists for their contributions, r Each item was thoroughly enjoyed, and tbe general feeling was that the programme was the best that had ever been provided in the district. After the first part, the Mayor (Mr. Todd) spoke of the progress the brigade had made under Captain Wilson, and also thanked the public for their support. The evening was concluded with dancing.
