AUSTRALIAN WOOL
CONFERENCE OF GROWERS. (Received 12.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE, this dayA conference of wool growers of the Common wealth is considering a scheme for the disposal and carry-over of wools, amounting approximately to 2,000,0(10 bales, appraised through the Central Wool Committee. It was resolved: '-That the British Government be asked to terminate its wool contracts on, say, December 31, making a division of cash, wool and other assets in the ratio of 50 to 50; tliat the new Realisation Association then tajie control of its sliare."
The conference requested Mr. Hughes to ]>etition the Imperial Dovenunent, by cable, asking tiuit the British Covernment's special executive committee which investigated the position and recommended the formation of the British Wool Realisation Association, should obtain control and dispose of all Australian carry-over wool in conjunction with the present clip.
The conference also decided to agree to the principle scheme.
