CONSTANTINE'S RECALL
ONLY ROYALISTS VOTE. DEFIANCE OF THE ALLIES. (By Cable.—Press Association.— Copyright.) LONDON, December 6. The plebiscite held in Greece yesterday favours the recall of ex-King Constantine. The Royalists alone voted.
Telegrams from Athens, received in Paris yesterday asserted that the Constantinists were intimidating the electors into voting in favour of the exKing's recall. Troops were marched to the polls and ordered how to vote. Secrecy of the ballot did not exist.
M. Rallis, the new Prime Minister of Greece, denied that the Cabinet intended to resign as a result of the Anglo-French-Italian Note. The Government, he said, would request explanations regarding Constantine's alleged disloyalty and hostility towards the Entente Powers. 11. Railis added that Greece was willing to fulfil her treaty engagements.
London newspapers point out that if the recent warning given to Greece by the Allies be ignored, financial reprisals and the absence of adequate guarantees will Drove serious to Greece. — (A. and X.Z. "Cable.)
