A SERIOUS CHARGE
AGAINST CITY COUNCILLOR. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Friday. At the Police Court to-day, Matthew Bradley, city councillor, aged 63 years, was charged with carnally knowing a girl over the ago of 15 and under 10 years. Chief Detective Bishop, who prosecuted, suggested that the Court, which was crowded, should be cleared as "the details of ths case were P rett y bad '" Tlie magistrate (Mr. Bartholomew) then ordered tbo Court to be cleared, and forbade the publication of details of the evidence. The accused, who reserved his defence, was committed for trial, bail being allowed. ._
