CLAIM FOR COMPENSATION, (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. The Waihi Borough Council "has received from Mrs. Martha D. Shaw, of Matata, a claim for compensation under the Public Works Act amounting to £12,500 for land taken under the said Act at Waihi beach for recreation and camping purposes.
