TWO MEN KILLED. PIX\>sED UNDER THE CAR. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ASHBtJRTOX, this day. A fatal motoring accident occurred on Wakanui Road, near Ashburton, yesterday. A motor car containing Mr. Hay Smith, stockdealer (the owner an;d driver of the car), Mr. Frank Campbell (local manager of the Loan and Mercantile Agency), and Mr. George Bramley (a returned soldier who lost one leg in the war) capsized. The latter escaped uninjured, but Messrs. Campbell and Smith were killed, the former outright, and the latter on admission to hospital. The car apparently got into a rut, and became unmanagable, and capsized, pinning Mr. Campbell and Mr. Smith underneath.
