DARGAVILLE STEAM SERVICE.
At a meeting of the Dargaville Chamber of Commerce held on Monday, strong protests were made against the unsatisfactory week-end steamer service. The following motion was unanimously igreed to: "TMat thfs Chamber protests to Mr. Nicoll, manager of the Kaipara Steamship Company, against injury to the district, caused by eucb an unsuitable steamer aa the Tuirangi, running on Saturday and Sunday, and urges that unless provision Can be made to run a larger steamer, consideration be given to the proposal to dispatch a larger steamer on Friaay night, returning to Helensville on Sunday."
