A MEAN THEFT.
(To the Editor.'? Sir, —Will you allow mc space to call attention of the public to a mean theft which occurred late on Saturday night or early Sunday morning? We have six acres of potatoes, which we have had the expense of planting, und sprayed five times up to the present, and which a.Tt almost ready to dig. Same person 01 persons came along and dug about two • cwt. of them. It will be well for those who have crope to keep a eharp look- ; out for the culprits, as they evidently . would rather steal than work.—l am etc., T. P. BLAKE. Panmure.
