ANSWERED BY MINISTER. (By Telegraph.—'Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Interviewed. Sir James Allen said the party leaders had just about left Vancouver, and Parliament would not reassemble until at least a fortnight after their arrival. Cabinet had not come to any decision in regard to the release of conscientious objectors. Kegardino- the fixing of retail prices of coal, the Minister said he had no doubt the coal trade would do this. Evidence of exploitations was submitted through the Minister- He had no knowledge as to the imposition of a tax on women entering England. He did not think the widows of New Zealand soldiers should be taxed, and representations would be made to the Home Government on the subject.
