GENERAL ARRANGEMENTS.

Features of the general arrangements which reached definite shape yesterday were as follow: — ORGANISATION. Mr. C. F. Bickford, relieved at his own request of responsibility for orgaxtising the festivities other than soldiers' dance and supper on Saturday evening, entertainment of children on Mondayafternoon, widows, orphans and soldier patients dependents" entertainment, Monday evening. • ROYAL SALUTE. Salute of 21 guns from some convenient point after reading of Proclamation on Domain. THE BANDS. Six bands to play in procession. Children of orphanages to be included in the arrangements for the entertainment of school children on Monday afternoon. The whole of the picture theatres in the Auckland district to be used for the entertainment of the children, with the exception of one, which declined to accept the rate of hire agreed lipon. ■ BENEVOLENT INSmTJTIONS. Street collections on Friday next 'for the benefit of the poor in the metropolitan area. , • TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS. Soldiers to be carried free on trains on July 19 and 21. Children to be carried 1 free on Monday to- nearest town where celebrations are to be held. No extra trains. PRISON INMATES. j Minister of Justice to he asked to allow the Peace Celebrations Committee to make some gift to the inmates of the I . prison.
