BRITAIN'S FOOD PRICES.
ACUTE APPREHENSION. SUGGESTED EUROPEAN COUNCIL. (Received 11.45 a.m.) LONDON, July 11. The British Food Minister, Mr. G. H. Roberts, is acutely concerned about prices, though he is not apprehensive regarding supplies. He Suggests that a council of the European Allies should replace the expiring Supreme Economic Council. Europe cannot expect America to longer control home prices for the benefit of European consumers. Mr Roberts says that no price can be considered pafe. The prospects for 1020 are not bright.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
