POINT CHEVALIER CARNIVAL.
MISS WALKER THE QUEEN,
The series of ceremonies that were incident to the Bazaar and Queen Carnival organised by the Point Chevalier School Committee to raise funds for improving and beautifying the school grounds have been concluded with the crowning of the Queen, Miss Eileen Walker, at the Mount Albert Hall and the Point Chevalier Hall.
The carnival has Ix-en a great success, and was opened by II r. C. 3. Parr, M.P., who said he was looking forward to the time when the system of municipal playgrounds adopted in the United States would be brought to New Zealand. £ 103 was made by the carnival, and this would carry a Government subsidy.
