RED CROSS WORK.
The Red Cross Depot started its work again in March, and it has been going on steadily ever since, and although some people think this form of patriotic work over, it is not so by any means, as the following list of garments supplied to the different hospitals will show. The articles have been sent to the following places: Cambridge Sanatorium, Rotorua Sanatorium King (Jeorge Hospital, the Annexe, and the Public Hospital, the Knox Home, the Epsom Convalescent Home, Karoo Home, which has 45 men in residence, and Whungarei Hospital, which accommodates 25 soldiers. For the use of these men there has been sent out pyjamas numbering 1537, shirts i>o3, undershirts 840, underpants 089. socks 1317, bed jackets 250, slippers 192 pairs, face towels 204, jerseys 127, scarves 117, bed socks 114, "dressing gowns f>o, mittens r>o pairs, lounge coatn 34, and gloves 34 pairs. The workers have attended steadily, and continue working as well as ever. The Victoria League has handed in 750 garments, which have been distributed amongst the foregoing list and for which the. depot expressed thanks.
