AUCKLAND TROTTING CLUB. THE ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Auckland Trotting Club was concluded after we went to press yesterday afternoon. Mr F. Lawry moved that the members of the club express their high appreciation of the position attained by Air John Rowe as president of the New Zealand Trotting Conference, a position wuich he has held for the past eleven years, showing the confidence placed in him by the trotting clubs of the Dominion. This was carried amidst applause. On the motion of Mr X R Davis it was decided that one of the events to be decided during the year be called the JoJm Uowe Cup, in honour of the president. Votes of thanks were passed to the secretary (Mr C. F. Mark) and the caretaker (Mr J. Mitchell) expressing appreciation of the excellent work done during the past season, and to the Press. Davis 42, and J. llil'l 29, the six first named gentlemen being declared elected.
