-Sergeant F. W. Lang, of E Conipanv, Twenty-seventh Reinforcements (Infantry), has been promoted to SecondLieut., and transferred to the Thirtyfirst Reinforcements. He went into camp with the probationary "N'.C.O.'s of the Twenty-seventh Reinforce—ncnts.

As the bulk of the Twenty-eighth Reinforcements come from the Auckland district, the question is being raised whether the authorities cannot see their way to let the final port of departure be from the Waitemata.
