LABOUR CONFERENCE.
, OVER 400 DELEGATES.
Arrangements for the Labour Conference which is to be opened at the Trades. Hall on Wednesday next, at 8 p.m., are rapidly progressing. Up to the present time about 400 delegates, representing 52 labour organisations in the Auckland city, have signified their intention of being present, and there are twelve replies yet to be received.
The conference will be opened by Mr. G. jDaviea, chairman of the Trades Hall trustees, on behalf of that body. The gathering has been much discussed in labour circles of the city, and it is generally understood that it will result in an organisation with some definite policy in the field of labour generally.
