The report supplied by Mr. F.-A. Jl.iraett. Government meteorologist, shows that the weather fur i-he- n> vu > was aoraen'iiat phenomena!. Very little ■wet "weather was experienced during the first fortnight, only one inch being xecocded. in the latter part, of the month the total rainfall was increased to 6.30 in. This constitutes the maximum ■lor a month during the present year, while, with the exception of the record for March. 1015, of 7.27 in.. it is the highest registered in the past fonri years. The maximum fall iliirinjr the; 3 9 days on which wet weather was experienced "was that of 1.42 in. on June 22. The average for the month of June, taken over a period of 03 years. is 4.06 in.. the maximum being; 10.41 in. in June, ISS9. and the inminiirai 1.47 in. in June 1801 and 1913.
