CARE OF CHILDREN.

(To the Editor.) Sir,—While in a place of business- I saw a very small child hanging in straps in some sort of a rig np between a go and a push cart. It looked to mc as if the child was drooping for want of water. lb was a very hot day, and the child was a long time in the straps without a drink. I am informed that this is very common. I think it would do good if health officers would draw attention to the very urgent necessity for giving infants as much clean cold water as they require, and as often as they require it.—l am, etc., A. WESLEY.
