» NO JURY WOULD CONVICT. CHARGE AGAINST HARVEY WITHDRAWN. (By Telegraph.—Frees Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. When Charles Harvey appeared on remand before the Magistrate's Court to-day charged with the murder of a Chinese storekeeper on September X the police asked permission to withdraw the charge upon the recommendation of the Crown Law Office. The only evidence against accused was his o*vn statement or confession. The police had inquired into that, and were satisfied that no jury could convict Harvey. Accused was accordingly discharged.
