WARS HUGE COST.
FINANCIERS' ESTIMATES. NEW LOAN EXPECTED. (Times and Sydney Sun Services.' (Reccired 8.30 a,m.) LONDON, March 18. .The "Times,", in commenting on.Mr. Edgar Crammond's figures of the cost of the war, says Mr. Asquith calculated that the direct expenditure until July would be £500,000,000. The "Times" thinks this is almost certainly too low if Mr. Crammond's calculation of £1,250,000,000 for a year was too high. Financial circles are already discussing the prospect of the issue of a new war loan soon after the j instalments of the existing war loan are paid at tbe end of April.
