SYDNEY, March 15. The secretary of" the Farmers and Settlers' A«6rjciatiqn, Thomas Irving --Campbell, -was awarded £500 damages against the "Sydney - Daily Telegraph" for alleged libel. The-suit was taken in respect to, a paragraph alleging that plaintiff iad ■ been charged with em-1 "leizling the funds of the Farmers' Stor- ~ .' Export- Company.
