This morning Mr. Dickson received the following reply.—"Re telegram of 12th inst., I have conferred with Minister of Public Works, and as soon as Engineer-in-Ohief returns to Wellington he will see what can be done regarding unemployment referred to. It may 'be very difficult to find work for carpenters.—W. F. 3dassey."
