FRENCH ANXIETY.
RELIEVED BY BRITAIN. CHANGES IN THE MINISTRY. PARIS. August 4. The following changes have been made in the Ministry:—M. Augagneur, Minister for Education, takes the portfolio of Marine Affairs; M. Briand has been made Minister for Public Instruction; and the ex-Premier. M. Doumergue. becomes Minister for Foreign Affairs, leaving the Premier. Al. Viviani. to direct the Government without portfolio. Britain's firm words with regard te .protection in the North Sea and tlie Channel have largely removed the general anxiety. A decree removes the prohibition against the introduction of fresh meat of foreign origin.
