WAR RISKS ON GRAIN.
GOVERNMENT GUARANTEE. SWITZERLAND QUITE READY. (Times and Sydney Sua Services.) (Received 10 ajn.) IX3NDON, August 5. A proclamation has been gazetted prohibiting the export of articles of machinery comprising warlike stores. In response to a request from the London Corn Trade Association the Government guarantee war risks on wheat and flour shipped and to be shipped from Atlantic and Canadian ports to Great Britain under existing contracts, t The mobilisation of the Swiss army is complete. Every able bodied man has been placed on military duty. The authorities arc confident of being able to prevent any combatants crossing the frontier.
