A CTTBIOTJS SITUATION. (Received 5.20 ajn.) LONDON", November ID. A rttrious situation has arisen in the mc*or fraud case. Mr Shoriartd (manager of the Talbot Company), in response to a request from plainiifTs counsel to produce copies of any invoices supplied by Ilia film to defendants, submitted three which were prepared on condition that defendants absolved him from responsibility if the Customs raised trouble. The documents handed in did not refer to Australia. Two dealt with cars for Xew Zealand, an dthe third with a ca.r for Sonth Africa.

Council for the Commonwealth explained that he had never asked fur these invoices. The Commonwealth's solicitors in September asked Mr Shorland's assistance in the matter of giving proof. He did not respond until November, when he stated that the Talbot Company's solicitor would see that assistance was given, bat no proof was received from Shorland. Acting on the magistrate's suggestion, the case was adjourned until Tuesday to enable Shorland to produce farther documents.
