THE CHAIRMAN _ REPORT. 1 The chairman, reporting on matters that '■ had been attended to during the past fortnight, intimated that the Minister had ' granted authority to treat Nelson Street 1 school as a "new school," from February Ist last. Application had. been made for ; a'-special grant for the erection of a separate infant department at Maungaw_.au : school. A student had been released from her training college bond on account of serious eye affection. APPOINTMENTS AND RESIGNATIONS. I-onch; Taumarnnni (assistant), Miss A. B. Pirrit: Frankton (assistant), Miss S. Grigs; Mt. Eden (assistant), Miss F. M. Day. The • committee recommended that the applications received in answer to advertisement for the appointment of an assistant master at the Mt. Eden -school bo declined, - and that the committee be consulted regarding the appointment of Mr T. H. Kirk as assistant master.
