AN EVICTED INNKEEPER
I KILLS THREE PEOPLE. FROM BEHIND A BARRICADE. THE MURDERER ESCAPES. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyrljjnt.) (Received 1.55 p.m.) LONDON, April 15. John Amos, landlord of the Sun Inn at Bedlington, a.village of Northumberland, resisted an attempt to evict him from the inn. ' He barricaded the doors, and when the wife of his successor approached the building he shot her dead with a gun. j Two constables who attempted to arrest . the murderer were also shot dead. Amos then escaped before the inn could be surrounded. Strong armed parties are now out searching for him.
