SENTENCES COMMUTED.
SYDNEY, April 15. I The sentences of death passed on Hugh Duncan, a lad 16 years of age, for the murder of his employer, John Joseph Connolly, on November 3, has been commuted. The boy, who was found to be mentally deficient, is to be detained during the Governor's pleasure. A man named Adams, who was sentenced to death for attempting to murder his cousin, who had married another man, has had his sentence commuted to penal Servitude for 12 year*,
