A SHORTAGE DENIED. CHURCHILL'S SHARP CEHSURE. (Received 10-50 a.m.) • ■ LONDON, Ma—? 31. Replying to Admiral Lord Charles Beresford's statement that tbe flett is 20,000 men short, and that though the Admiralty is able to build ships it is unable to man them, Mr. Churchill declared that the statement was wholly untrue. Anyone making such a statement deserved the censure of all right-mindjd men on both sides of the House.
