Tie'installation of W.M. and investiture of officers of Lodge Piako took place at MorrinsnTw- on Wednesday, when there was a large gathering of brethren from all parts of the proviiK-e. R.W. Bro. T. W. Allen, Provincial Cirand Master, was prese-nt, aeompanied by the Grand Lodge officers, and installed Bto. J. C. B. Watts ac WJI. The officers invested for the year were:—l.P.W.. Wor. Bro. S. S. Morrtce: auditor. Bro. G. Howie. After the installation, an adjournment was made to the Coronation Hall, where the -usual toasts peculiar to fhe craft were duly honoured. A special meeting of the Town Board was held on Friday to- consider the reply from Use Public Trustee anent tie loan of £."),OCO required by rhe Board. The cormniined Sunday-schools' picnic "was a grail smxress. The grounds kindly lent by Mr Robert Allen at Piako proved ideal ones, n-nd it is proposed to make this an annual outing.
