REMARKABLE HAILSTORM.

STONES LIKE TENNIS BALLS. LIVE STOCK KILLED. (Received 9.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. A remarkable hailstorm occurred in the Inverell district yesterday. Trees for miles were stripped of their leaves, which formed a perfect carpet beneath. Many windows were smashed hy hailstones, the size of tennis balls, and'weighing over a quarter of a pound. Galvanised iron roofs were d-ented and in some cases pierced, while several horses were knocked down and a quantity of live stock killed.
