STOLEN BANK NOTES
FOUND IN PARIS STREET.
A WELL-ARMED CLAIMANT.
(Received 9 a.m.)
PARIS, December 23. A man named Schild. a carman, picked np a case containing £65,000 in bank notes and script. A stranger claimed the case and Schild took him to the police station. The claimant failed to substantiate his claim and was arrested and searched, two revolvers and a large knife being found in his pockets. Examination of the case shows that it was the same as that in which the money forwarded to the Bank of Egypt at Alexandria and stolen en route was shipped.
