BOMBAY. December 23.
Possibly arising out of the Ranees' reVolt a number of Portuguese soldiers violated the frontier.
They surrounded two villages in British •territory near Goa. a Portugese possession on the west coast of India with an area of 1.469 square miles, and shot two men, four women and a child, and seized twenty-one others.
