WAIHI FATALITY.
MINER DIES FROM mjTJRIES. (3. Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) WAIHI, this day. Timothy Higgins, the miner who fell down the Grand Junction No. 3 shaft yesterday forenoon, died in the hospital at 3 o'clock this morning. Medical examination showed that the unfortunate man-had received severe injuries to his head and spine. Deceased was an elderly man, and had resided in Waihi some years. He leaves a widow, but no children. The flag over the office of the Arbitration Union was half-mast to-day.
