DUFAUR'S RETURN.
YOUNG MAN SLOWLY KECOVERrN'G. Mr. Percy Dufaur, of Anckland, uncle of the young man David Dufaur (who disappeared from Pa-hi after the fatal ' accident to his companion, Samuel Henry Sayers, but reappeared three days afterwards), returned to the city yesterday afternoon from Matakohe, where young Dufaur is still confined to his bed aa the result of his terrible experiences in the bush. Mr. Percy Dufaur told a " Star' ; representative that his nephew was still in a very weak and exhausted condition. although in no actual danger. All that he required was proper feeding and a complete rest. Sheer terror was alone responsible for his disappearance. If he went on as well as he was doing, he would probably be able to appear at the inquest on Monday touching the death of Sayers. After Sayers met his death, a cablegram was sent to his wife in England to tell her of what had happened, and to prevent her from coming out to New Zealand with her child, as she intended. So far no reply has been received to this message, and it is not known whether she has left for the Dominion or not.
