SCHOOL PRIZES.

The annual breaktng-up and prize-giving ceremony marking the end of the school year at the Dadles' Remuera, took place on Wednesday afternoon, a large number of parents and friends being present. The annual report submitted by the principal showed that the year bad been in every way a successful one, and the Rev. W. Beatty, in commenting upon it, stated that the school was doing good work among the pupils In both mental and moral training. After the presentation ol prises by the Rev. W. A large gathering of parents and friends took place at Melmerly College on Wednesday evening, the occasion being the annual distribution of prizes by the Rev. The annual Christmas festivities took place at tbe Orphan Home, Papatoetoe, last night in the presence of a large number of visitors. Including the chairman (Mr C.
